Working directly with individuals playing roles such as Scrum Master, Product Owner or Agile Team Lead, individual coaching creates a forum for deeper learning and building competencies. The mentorship can happen directly in key ceremonies, or offline in one-on-one discussions where observations and approaches are discussed in a safe space.

Personal learning plans are developed to that each practitioner has a roadmap of training, reading, and conferences to accelerate their progression and eventually become stronger coaches for their own team and organization.

At the heart of any Agile organization are the delivery teams creating and building valuable products and services for their customers. Whether its with a new team forming or a seasoned team performing, Agile coaches bring all their experience to provide customized support that helps them achieve their delivery outcomes.

Our approach to coaching is for “just enough” to ensure teams are building resiliency and internal capacity over time. Typical types of activities can include:

  • Facilitating team kick-off and Agile onboarding
  • Coaching Scrum ceremonies and creating supporting artifacts
  • Guiding retrospectives and harvesting process improvements
  • Establish teams’ visual management, reporting, tools and metrics

Beyond the team level into broader concerns around portfolios management, scaling models, program design and organizational development, organizational coaches have worked across dozens of organizations in multiple countries and industries thus bringing a breadth and depth of experience to any topic.

By partnering with motivated leadership that is focused on enabling their organizations, deep insights and trusted advisory services are provided.

Cohort coaching

The cohort coaching model provides a regular schedule of interaction, a structured program of content, and the flexibility for participants to adapt the content to meet their learning needs. In the cohort program, the coach provides prompting questions each week and explores key concepts and practices with the group. The participants are encouraged to bring work challenges they face to the group and unpack them in a safe space. The other participants contribute to breaking down the challenge, identify root problems, and help workshop possible solutions, which broadens their experience and perspectives.

Participants have the opportunity to:

  • Develop their skills and reinforce best practices
  • Share learning and ideas across the organization
  • Build a community of colleagues working on similar challenges
  • Get guidance, insight and encouragement for tackling their challenges
  • Reflect on other participants’ experiences and perspectives to broaden their own learning

Cohort coaching uses the following structure:

  • Up to 8 participants per cohort
  • 6 sessions of 2 hours over a 9-week period
  • Available for private groups or in public cohorts
  • All coaching sessions delivered virtually, using MS Teams or Zoom
  • Coach provides offline support between sessions (email questions, etc.)
