The course offers an engaging learning experience through a blend of lectures, exercises, interactive games, discussions, and group activities. It can be delivered either virtually or in-person, based on your organization’s needs, with both formats providing a dynamic mix of communication, collaboration, and hands-on learning.
The learning platform we use is as follows:
- ZOOM is an industry standard video and collaboration platform that allows for excellent face-to-face communication and facilitates chats, breakout rooms and an overall visual style of teaching
- MIRO is a real time collaboration board that provides the background for many of the learning games and exercises
- Notability – in lieu of whiteboards and projectors, the slides are shared through Zoom and annotated using Notability. Blank sheets are created so that the facilitators can draw out concepts in real time or highlight areas as needed.

The Agile 101 Training Course is an excellent introduction to the values, principles, and practices of Agile. Beginning with Agile’s history and evolution, the course offers a solid foundation for those new to Agile or a valuable refresher for teams looking to align on its core concepts. Participants will gain insight into how Agile can transform their teams and organizations, paving the way for successful adoption and implementation.
This course covers essential Agile concepts and tools, including an overview of Scrum, Kanban, and scaling models, while contrasting these with traditional waterfall and ad-hoc approaches. Practical applications are emphasized, with participants learning proven techniques for planning products, releases, and sprints. Additionally, the course explores the anatomy of Agile teams, focusing on roles such as the Scrum Master and delving deeper into the responsibilities and processes of the Product Owner, equipping participants with the knowledge to navigate Agile projects with confidence.

Kristi Meredith has worked as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach & Trainer in both the Public and Private Sectors on a range of software, construction, policy and hardware projects. Through her experience, she offers a wide range of services to clients, specializing in Agile & Scrum coaching, team culture & team building, visual management and graphic facilitation, and workshop facilitation. Her objective and passion is to help teams and organizations find alignment and process that enables them to deliver value to customers while also building and sustaining a people-first, positive workplace culture.
She is a Certified Scrum Professional (CSP-SM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Large Scale Scrum (LeSS) practitioner, Certified Disciplined Agilist, and an expert in the incorporation of visuals in both facilitation and information radiators.
