Course methods and materials

Our virtual courses bring a rich mix of communication, collaboration and learning activities. Participants are able to share ideas, work in breakouts, practice new ways of working, all from the comfort of their own set-up.

The learning platform we use is as follows:

  • ZOOM is an industry standard video and collaboration platform that allows for excellent face-to-face communication and facilitates chats, breakout rooms and an overall visual style of teaching
  • MURAL is a real time collaboration board provides the background for many of the learning games and exercises
  • Graphic Facilitation supports learning in a virtual classroom because participants can see clearly what is being discussed and can shape those artifacts. Our instructors are trained graphic facilitators and bring unique visual tone and aesthetic to all the classes providing students with a very rich experience.

For any Alluvial course, we can provide private group training to support and accelerate learning in your organization.

This two-day training introduces participants to agile portfolio management and the role of the Value Management Office (VMO) in driving end-to-end agility and organizational change.

The path to enterprise agility requires an organization and its people to complete three traverses. On the traverse to team agility, the focus is on helping teams build flexible, adaptive, fit-for-purpose agile practices. On the traverse to portfolio agility, the focus is on organizing agile teams into value streams and optimizing the delivery of value across the organization using a fast and resilient portfolio operating model, supported by adaptive governance. Portfolio agility sets the stage for organizations to make the final traverse to strategic agility.

This course is being taught in partnership with Lithespeed and is certified by the Agile Leadership Academy. Lithespeed wrote the book on this topic ‘From PMO to VMO: Managing for Value Delivery’.
